Born and raised in Falköping, southwest of Sweden, Johan early discovered music and its powerful expressions with the smash hit 'Heaven's on fire' by KISS, and the fascination over what you could achieve and bring on to others through your music.
He got his first guitar at the age of fourteen and by the help of some chords- and tab-books he learned a lot of Beatles and Stones songs and a lot of other tunes from the 60's and 70's era. Then Kiss, Twisted Sister, Mötley Crüe and the music of the 80’s came to be the foundation and inspiration that fed the interest in writing own music.
At the time he went at the upper secondary school/high school he wrote some of his first lyrics, and it turned out to be some melancholic ballads. Later he was asked to play the guitar in a band with some schoolmates, who all had similar interests in hard rock and metal. They named the band Beneath and kept on playing for about ten years.
During those ten years he did a couple of gigs based upon his own material, just a guitar and his voice, then in 2001 he wrote a number of songs that were recorded late fall and became a turning point to work more on his own. All instruments except drums, were played by Johan, and the result became rough and melancholic rock’n’roll.
In 2005 he made some recordings with lyrics in Swedish, but today he's mostly writing material in english, and while he's doing some gigs around with friends in the band Wayback (a band performing mostly covermaterial) he's also working on a lot of solomaterial.
